Pat Hood

I am the Senior Pastor at LifePoint Church in Smyrna, TN. I've been married to my best frined, Amy, for 21 years. We have 3 boys, Seth, Zac and Isaiah, and 2 little girls, Jaden and Ally Kate. Two of my greatest passions in life are loving my wife and kids and leading God's people. That's why I started pathood.org. I want to challenge people to live a life of faith that's far from tame & safe. I want to call people to get beyond the Sunday school answers that prevent us from thinking too deeply and really understanding the depth and complexity of our awesome God. I want to call people to know not just what they believe but why they beleive it. I just want to challenge people to THINK. I want to warn you u front, I tend to be a Bibilical literalist. I beleive the Bible is the Word of God and I just happen to beleive it's absolute truth. Now, those of you who are extreme fundy's are shaking your head and saying "amen," but, i truly beleive when we actually talk about what God's Word really says, not what we've made it say, some of you fundy's are going to think I've lost my mind and you flaming liberals are going to write me off as a simple minded legalist. So, this ought to be fun...for some of us.
