I have been in the IT industry for over 15 years. As of the last 10 plus years, I have spent a lot of time in the "integration" space. It sure has changed - thankfully to all of our benefit! Each customer I have worked with, regardless of being in the same vertical or not, has had a unique "business fingerprint". Every customer has some flavor of ERP.. along with AP, AR, GL, etc. - but that is not where the competitive differentiation happens. It is at the process layer where customers hone their craft - doing it better than the competition. This is where we reduce manual steps, redundancy, errors and the like. When I am not working with customers, I like to hunt, fish, and play golf - that is when I can find time outside of my 3 sons and my beautiful wife.
