I have over 20 years of experience working in various roles within the disability and education sector, across the country. I have worked with, and for children and adults with all types of disability, and with their family members, or loved ones, with the sole purpose of making a difference. Counselling was a natural progression for me as I saw firsthand the struggles and limitations disability creates in daily living, relationships, education, health, and overall wellbeing. I have seen families break down, people become socially isolated, and the vulnerable sexually, physically, and emotionally abused. There are so many reasons why counselling should be made available to all people affected by disability, to have the same opportunities as all of us to seek such services in areas that impact their overall wellbeing. This is the key reason I became a Disability Counsellor, and formed my own counselling service in 2014.
