This is 2018 I'm miserable. BFF is gone. The only person who was with me at my UniSIM convocation, my NTU convocation and who was one of the main reasons I stayed alive and fought cancer. Gone. Below was 2013 Profile... I am the favoured one in many ways. I am 43 years old but I really feel 33. I have the bestest siblings in the entire world and their spouses are as awesome as they are. I have the bestest BFFs and they know who they are as well. I love losing myself in the kitchen, doing cool stuff with my Samsung Note II (like now), dressing up for lunch dates and hitting the park connectors with my mountain bike and lots more. I love watching cooking channels and modifying recipes to my own convenience and crying over poignant scenes while watching movies. I never get tired of reading about the Titanic or listening to Patsy Cline, Andrea Bocelli, jazz standards and classical music. I totally adore Leonardo diCaprio. Since September 2012, I found time to do all the things I have always wanted to do after leaving my last job. I was dead sure I am the luckiest and healthiest girl. Until breast cancer struck. On 5 December, I was diagnosed with Infiltrative Ductal Carcinoma (IDC) Estrogen Receptor (ER) and Progesterone Receptor (PR) positive. A week passed and I decided to start this blog. I hope to record my experiences (including the retrospective accounts of what life was before the discovery) and hope that people can benefit from the stuff they read here - whether they are people fighting the same illness or their caregivers/relatives/friends or just someone who feel as invincible as I did before 5 December. I hope to write well enough such that anyone (familiar or not with the big C) will find this blog informative, useful and perhaps a little bit entertaining too. It will not be just about the hateful C as I plan to talk about other things in general. Thank you for dropping by and I hope to have your company on my journey as my treatment to kick big C in the smelly ass is just about to begin. The Favoured One (find out why in my blog post) December 2013
