Cory Simmons has been a practicing attorney for over 17 years. He specializes in civil litigation, focusing on business disputes, contract issues, and securities cases. Born in Florida on July 31, 1980, Cory Simmons, an Atlanta Attorney, attended Florida State University, earning a Bachelor’s in Philosophy and Theater. At FSU, he actively participated in leadership programs and earned the honor of being a Florida Bright Futures Scholar. After completing his undergraduate studies, Cory continued his education at Florida Coastal School of Law, where he excelled academically. He became a member of the Moot Court Honor Board. He distinguished himself in mock trial competitions, winning the National Moot Court Competition in 2005 and being named Best Oralist in the Prince Evidence Competition in 2006. Upon earning his Juris Doctor in 2007, Cory Simmons began his legal career as an Assistant State Attorney in the Fourth Judicial Circuit of Florida. In this role, he prosecuted various cases, from misdemeanors to serious felonies, and handled 18 trials, securing 12 guilty verdicts. In 2016, Cory Simmons joined Morgan & Morgan P.A. as a Lead Attorney and Partner in the Business Trial Group, overseeing commercial litigation efforts in North Florida and Georgia. He handled several high-stakes cases, including one valued at over $20 million. His success in these matters earned him recognition as "Attorney of the Year" in 2015. In October 2024, Cory became the Managing Partner at Spizzirri Law, LLC, a boutique commercial litigation firm. He continues to manage litigation cases and oversee the firm's operations there.
